I’ve been thinking of what to give myself for my silver anniversary. I wanted it to be special, something I will always remember and I’ve never done/had before. So by December, I bought myself a round trip ticket to Hong Kong.
I always travel with my friends and this is the first time I’m travelling alone. So it was a bit challenging, fun and adventurous. Something I will always remember, like a milestone on my 25th year here on earth.
My flight was 5.30AM and I always get nervous because I’m (most of the time) late. Well, I almost missed my flight going to Boracay and I missed my flight going back to Manila… so :p
Anyway, I arrived in HK around 8.30AM and arrived in Tsim Sha Tsui around 10AM after getting lost in the train station. Temperature was around 18 degrees Celcius.
This is me sporting my “Brave” hairstyle while riding the train going to the city.
Tsim Sha Tsui
Yey! I finally arrived at Tsim Sha Tsui, my home for 4 days.
After checking in on my hotel, I went outside and had my first lunch at Mcdonalds. they were a bit difficult to understand so I survived pointing out food on the menus.
After eating I immediately went to Kowloon Station to prepare for my half-day Macau tour.
I bought 1-way ticket and arrived in Macau around 2pm. Outside the terminal there are people asking if you want a tour. Someone asked me if I’m Thai and said I’m a Filipina, and so was she. Since I was alone, I decided to take her as my tour guide. I paid 300HKD for the whole tour and another 200HKD for my ferry trip back to HK.
I’m so happy that I got someone to take my photos in this tour.
First stop: Casino-hopping/Casino-lobby-hopping. I dont know why but my guide had a thing with lobbies. hahaha! I always got asked to show my passport because I dont look like I’m old enough to enter their casino. LOL.
I wasn’t able to go up and see the Ruins because I was already feeling tired. Maybe next time I will. 🙂
Ruins of St. Paul
Macau Tower (160HKD)
The temperature was getting colder now. It was 16 degrees Celcius when we were in Macao Tower and it was getting colder as night approaches.
City of Dreams
Where it’s always morning 😉
I was back in HK by 10pm.
